The Coffee Plant
The coffee plant, named Coffea, is a woody, evergreen and flowering plant and usually contains 2 seeds. The Coffea family contains about 70 species. The 2 most important species are the Coffea Arabica and Coffea Canephora (Robusta), from which only the self-fertilizing Arabica is used for Coffee Mundo®. The fruit of the coffee plant, mostly called coffee berry, is a drupe which contains a kernel with 2 coffee beans in it.
